📱 Phone alerts
Pops up on this phone when VerseVault is open or installed.
✉️ Email to parent
A reminder email to the parent at the chosen times.
🗓️ Calendar reminders
Adds a daily alarm at each chosen time to your phone's calendar. Works even when the app is closed.
🔒 Practice lock (for parents)
At each reminder time, VerseVault shows only the practice until today's verse is done. Only your PIN can unlock it early. Set this up on the child's phone, with the child's name chosen under “Who's learning?”.

Keep the child inside VerseVault (whole phone)
Phones don't let apps lock themselves, but your phone can pin VerseVault so the child can't leave it without your passcode.
iPhone — Guided Access
- Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access → switch on.
- Tap Passcode Settings → Set Guided Access Passcode.
- Open VerseVault and press the side (or Home) button 3 times → Start.
- To finish: press 3 times again and type your passcode.
Android — App pinning
- Settings → Security (or Security & privacy) → App pinning → switch on, and turn on “Ask for PIN before unpinning”.
- Open VerseVault, open Recent apps, tap the VerseVault icon → Pin.
- To finish: hold Back and Recent apps together, then type your PIN.
